Marine life in the south east coastal area of Jersey

The south east coast has been a source of food for hundreds of years. Today this tradition is continued with people venturing up to 1.5 miles offshore on the big low tides in search of sea food. Many low water fishermen and women have secret spots where Lobsters or even the famous Ormer might be caught. Prawning is one of the more popular activities today.
